Fantasy football flex rankings: Top 150 RB/WR/TE options for NFL Week 16

Pondering some tough flex choices for your fantasy lineup? Adam Rank sorts through the running backs, receivers and tight ends to present his top 150 flex options each week for the 2024 fantasy football season, with some useful nuggets of analysis sprinkled in. The ranking is based on a 0.5 PPR scoring format.

NOTE: In a typical week, this ranking will be posted on Tuesday. Injury designations will be added, adjusted or removed as teams' official injury reports are made available. The following three designations will be reflected:

• (Q) -- Player is listed as questionable on his team's official injury report.
• (D) -- Player is listed as doubtful on his team's official injury report.
• (O) -- Player has been ruled out on his team's official injury report.

FLEX RANKINGS: 1-50

If you're reading this piece and you have Cooper Kupp on your roster, congratulations to you for surviving his goose egg on Thursday night. Or perhaps you have Kupp in another league that you lost in, and you're reading this to help you in a different league. I know it's bittersweet to make it through a fantasy season, get to the playoffs and have one of your superstars like Kupp, Saquon Barkley or Derrick Henry let you down when you needed them the most. That's the beauty of this game we play. You can never conquer the chaos. You can try to make the best of it and attempt to beat your friend who was lucky enough to stick with Davante Adams this season. Seriously, if you made it to this week with Kupp, I'd play him against the Jets. Good luck! Now, on to the rest of the notes ...

• I mentioned Saquon Barkley earlier. The dude had more than 30 fantasy points the last time he faced his Week 16 opponent, the Commanders. I'm curious to see how many points he scores this time after being limited to 9.4 last week. As for Washington, I am worried about Brian Robinson Jr., who did NOT torch the Saints defense like he was supposed to in Week 15. And what do you do with Terry McLaurin this week? I mean, there's no way he can be started on your fantasy team, yeah?
• Ja’Marr Chase is averaging a whopping 33.2 fantasy points per game in his last five contests. This week he draws the Browns, a team he scored 17.6 points against back in Week 7. The Cleveland defense was supposed to be special this year, but it has allowed the second-most yards per attempt to wide receivers this season. Expect Chase to be targeted a lot.
• Josh Jacobs is on fire, notching at least 20 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. He has 13 scrimmage touchdowns since Week 5, a league-best mark in that span.
• Let's talk about James Conner. I felt like he was almost an afterthought in drafts this year, but he's the fantasy RB10 this season and is the RB1 over the past two weeks, averaging 26.5 fantasy points per game in that span. Heck, he's scored at least 22 points in three of his last five, and this week he has a matchup against the Panthers, who have allowed the most fantasy points to running backs this year.
• We will need to monitor Alvin Kamara's status this week after he left Sunday's game with a groin injury. Backup Kendre Miller has seen more opportunities in recent weeks and the Saints have a matchup this week against the Packers, who rank in the middle of the pack against fantasy RBs this season.
• Mike Evans has five games with at least 23 fantasy points this season. He's posted 11-plus targets, at least eight receptions and more than 115 yards in two of his last three games.

FLEX RANKINGS: 51-100

• Jerome Ford should see a bigger role in the Browns' offense with Nick Chubb out. Ford has 60-plus scrimmage yards in two of his last three games, and this week he faces the Bengals, who have allowed a top-three fantasy RB in two of their last three games.
• The 49ers sure were trying to get Deebo Samuel the ball on Thursday night. He just couldn’t catch it. I do like his matchup this week against the Dolphins, though.

FLEX RANKINGS: 101-150

• Nos. 1-50
• Nos. 51-100

• Tyjae Spears had 87 receiving yards in Week 15. The Titans' RBs -- Spears and Tony Pollard -- are like the Kirkland version of the Buccaneers backfield. I don't know if I trust them as much as I trust the Bucs' duo, but it's close. And if you're serving at a holiday party, nobody is going to know if you're using the Kirkland brand if you've added mixers. Just a pro tip here.
• Speaking of the Bucs, Jalen McMillan is averaging 20.2 fantasy points in his last two games. He averaged 4.5 FPPG in his first eight games. A big reason for the massive increase? Touchdowns! He's scored three TDs in his last two games.
