Who were the NFL's top stars in Week 2? Each Wednesday, the league unveils its weekly honor roll. See who the Players of the Week are below.
AFC Offensive Player of the Week
The Colts burst out to a 2-0 start thanks to 29-28 win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday that was spearheaded by Taylor. The game-breaking back piled up 215 scrimmage yards, with 165 rushing yards on 25 carries. Taylor peeled off a 68-yard run and averaged 6.6 yards per tote while adding a pair of receptions -- one for a 43-yard pickup and the other for a 7-yard touchdown.
NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Goff was a touchdown machine in the Lions' 52-21 throttling of the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Goff threw five touchdown passes -- equaling the amount of incompletions on his day. Overall, he completed 23 of 28 passes (82.1%) for 334 yards, a 156.0 passer rating and no interceptions as he and the Lions offense found their groove and then some.
AFC Defensive Player of the Week
Smith was a tackling maven and turned in his team's biggest play of the game as he propelled the Ravens to a lopsided 41-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Smith recovered a Joe Flacco fumble and took it to the house 63 yards for the first fumble recovery touchdown of his decorated career. In addition, he piled up 15 tackles and three tackles for loss.
NFC Defensive Player of the Week
As has become customary, Warner was all over the field Sunday in the 49ers' 26-21 win over the New Orleans Saints. Warner was a stat monster, posting 11 tackles, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery as the 49ers improved to 2-0.
AFC Special Teams Player of the Week
Taking off down the sideline with his head coach Mike Vrabel trying to keep up with him, Gibson scored on a 90-yard kickoff return Sunday to help his Patriots to a 33-27 triumph over the Miami Dolphins. Gibson's touchdown stood as the game-winner and vaulted the Pats into the lead just a play after the Fins' Malik Washington scored on a punt return. Thus, Gibson not only steered the Pats into the winning column, but he likely wrested away AFC Special Teams Player of the Week from Washington. Gibson, who also tallied 27 yards on five carries, had six kick returns in total for 171 yards.
NFC Special Teams Player of the Week
The biggest leg in the west was perfectly clutch on Sunday, lifting the Cowboys over the New York Giants, 40-37, in overtime. Aubrey racked up 16 points, going a perfect 4 for 4 in field goals, while converted just as many extra points in just as many attempts. However, it was Aubrey's ability to come through when it mattered most that won the day, as he was true on a 64-yard field goal to send the game to overtime and then hit a 46-yard game-winner in OT.
