The Pittsburgh Steelers remain unsettled under center as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches.
As the world awaits a potential Aaron Rodgers decision, Steelers general manager Omar Khan noted that he'll consider every avenue to add to the quarterback room.
"We discussed in Palm Beach a couple of weeks ago. We go to camp with four quarterbacks," Khan said on Tuesday during Pittsburgh's pre-draft news conference. "Right now, we have two on the roster. All options are on the table on how we acquire those last two. I assure you we'll have four when we get to Latrobe (for training camp)."
The Steelers currently employ veteran Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson. The club met with Rodgers weeks ago, but no resolution sounds forthcoming. Adding a rookie makes sense, but the question is whether that player comes in the first round or later in the process.
Asked if Rodgers' situation impacts how the Steelers approach the draft, head coach Mike Tomlin responded: "It does not."
On the flip side, it's possible that if the Steelers draft a QB they believe could start right away, it could affect their pursuit of Rodgers.
"I think what you do in the draft oftentimes affects maybe some talent acquisition that happens after," Tomlin said. "We'll see how the acquisition goes this weekend."
It's possible that both the Steelers and Rodgers are waiting to see how the draft plays out before moving forward -- or not.
The 2025 NFL Draft begins on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, and Pittsburgh currently holds the No. 21 overall pick.
