NFL.com analysts provide one bold prediction for Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season, from fantasy forecasts to team-based takes.
Puka Nacua breaks NFL's single-game receptions record.
The Rams' No. 1 receiver is on a historic pace with 52 receptions through five weeks. Having logged at least seven catches in nine straight regular-season games (stretching back to last season), Nacua is projected to hit 177 receptions in 2025, which would shatter Michael Thomas' single-season NFL record of 149 (set in 2019). Going against the one of the league's worst defenses in Baltimore on Sunday, Nacua sets a single-game receptions record, besting Brandon Marshall's mark of 21 (set in 2009).
Deebo Samuel achieves historic feat against Bears.
Samuel is enjoying a renaissance in his first season as a Commander, recording at least six receptions in four of five games -- after reaching that figure twice in the entire 2024 campaign. Samuel currently leads Washington with 30 catches, 300 receiving yards, three receiving TDs and 346 scrimmage yards. Against Chicago on Monday night, Deebo hits the touchdown trifecta: He scores a rushing TD, receiving TD and either a passing TD or one on special teams.
First-round rookie receiver has true breakout game.
Bryce Young has thrown for 300 passing yards and three touchdowns in a game just once in his NFL career: four weeks ago against the Cardinals. In that contest, rookie Tetairoa McMillan had six catches for 100 yards on 10 targets, but he did not find the end zone -- and he still has yet to find it at the NFL level. This Sunday against the Cowboys, Young hits 300 yards and three TDs again, but this time, McMillan accounts for 150 yards and his first two NFL scores in a true breakout game.
Matthew Stafford scores 30-plus fantasy points.
Sometimes fantasy can be easy. Take a good player -- especially one who’s playing well -- against a bad defense ... and VOILÀ! Such is the case with Matthew Stafford -- who’s averaging 300.6 passing yards per game this season with 11 total touchdown tosses -- going against a woebegone Ravens defense beset by injuries. With Los Angeles coming off a surprising home loss to the 49ers, look for Stafford and company to put a hurting on Baltimore’s already-too-hurt D.
Patriots post top-10 fantasy performances at FOUR positions.
The Patriots eat well in the Big Easy against the Saints' below-average defense, as QB Drake Maye, RB TreVeyon Henderson, WR Stefon Diggs and TE Hunter Henry all finish among the top 10 fantasy scorers at their respective positions in Week 6.
