Broncos LB Alex Singleton on ACL rehab: You can see where I'm at in a few weeks at practice

Denver Broncos linebacker Alex Singleton sounds antsy to get back on the field.

After playing in just three games in 2024 due to an ACL tear, the linebacker remains on track to be ready for the 2025 campaign. He also expressed optimism that he'll be on the field for OTAs, which kick off on May 27 for Denver.

"I can't give specific numbers, but we have practices in a few weeks and you guys can see for yourselves where I'm at," Singleton said last week during a charity event, via Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post.

Any amount of on-field work is a positive for a player coming off a season-ending injury, but how much the veteran participates in OTAs as he ramps up for the season remains to be seen.

A tackling maven, Singleton gobbled up 120-plus tackles in four consecutive seasons, including 160-plus in his first two years in Denver, before missing most of last year. The 31-year-old continues to hit his offseason milestones.

"I think I'm getting my helmet fitted next week," Singleton said. "I think that'll be a little happy moment. Then, the first OTAs. All these happy moments. And then training camp, it'll be like, 'Oh, we're back.' I think it'll be really cool to get to do those things and get to do that."

The Broncos are counting on Singleton and newcomer Dre Greenlaw to overcome injuries that wiped out their 2024 seasons. If both stay healthy in 2025, they could be one of the rangiest and tackle-sure inside LB duos in the entire NFL. As with all players coming off injury -- especially a 30-something like Singleton -- health remains a question until we see them full-force in training camp.
