Antoine Winfield deciding between Seahawks, Vikings

Maybe Antoine Winfield doesn't want to leave the Minnesota Vikings after all.

After visiting the Seattle Seahawks early in the week, the veteran cornerback is deciding between the Seahawks and Vikings, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday on "NFL Total Access."

Rapoport describes the situation as "very fluid," with Winfield expected to make his decision soon.

An earlier report suggested Winfield was "closing in" on a contract with the Seahawks, which read like a not-so-veiled message prompting the Vikings to raise their offer.

If Winfield wants one last shot at a Super Bowl ring, foremost, the Seahawks are the easy choice. If it's about money, familiarity and loyalty, though, returning to the Vikings has to weigh heavily on his mind.

The Seahawks already boast the NFL's premier secondary in base personnel. Landing Winfield would ensure that no secondary is better in nickel packages.
