My wife grabbed my phone the other day and wanted to look something up on the internet. She typed in "p" (just that single letter) and when https://www.prowrestlingtees.com/ immediately auto-filled, she yelled out "RANK!" Because, well, I have a compulsion for buying wrestling t-shirts. And baseball caps. But mostly the t-shirts. And it's getting pretty bad, too. She won't even let me drive by the Westminster Mall because there is a Hot Topic and Lids right next to each other, and she's afraid I'm going to deplete our life savings on this endeavor.
But if that sounds bad, I have it worse for rookies in my fantasy draft. These rookie running backs might as well be the Young Bucks, Hangman Page and Marty Scrull because I can't stop stockpiling them on my teams. And it goes way back, too. I loaded up last year on Kareem Hunt (who, I was told was the worst pick in the draft) and Alvin Kamara to have a rather fruitful fantasy season. I was admonished for advocating Ezekiel Elliott two years ago. So you get the picture. But I have to admit, this season is probably the worst I've ever been.
It's easy to have Saquon Barkley at the top of your rankings. I mean, you saw the guy play at Penn State, right? But my Top 200 list is now heavily stacked with rookies (especially running backs), which might make some of you fidgety. Like my wife when she sees a big envelope in the mail.
So I'm going All In (pun intended) on rookies this year. I have three rookies ahead of LeSean McCoy for crying out loud. I know there's a chance some of these guys could end up embarrassing you. Like that Adam Rose t-shirt I have in the bottom of my drawer. But it's worth it.
(And for the record, I'm not embarrassed by that shirt, and it hangs in my closet, so there.) So let's get to it. I'll just be here waiting for you to call me an idiot in my Twitter mentions.
