A knee injury will sideline DeAndre Hopkins for the foreseeable future.
The veteran receiver suffered an injury during practice and is expected miss about four weeks, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Thursday.
In his first season with the Titans, Hopkins broke 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2020, finishing with 1,057 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while running routes for both veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill and rookie Will Levis. As a three-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler, Hopkins stands as the top receiver on Tennessee's depth chart, which welcomed two key additions in Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd in 2024.
At 32 years old, a cautious approach with Hopkins is the best approach for Tennessee, which is looking to rebound after a 6-11 record produced a last-place finish in the AFC South and prompted the Titans to fire coach Mike Vrabel.
With new, offensive-minded coach Brian Callahan running the ship in Nashville, he'll need all hands on deck to maximize the Titans' potential. Fortunately, the regular season is still a little over a month away from kicking off so the hope is he'll have D-Hop back to begin the regular season.
