Packers RB Josh Jacobs (knee) off injury report, good to go Thursday vs. Lions

Green Bay has something to be thankful for ahead of a crucial Thanksgiving matchup with the Lions.

Packers running back Josh Jacobs, who's been dealing with a knee injury, is officially off the injury report and good to go for Thursday's game versus Detroit.

Jacobs missed Sunday's victory over the Vikings due to a knee contusion suffered in Week 10. That decision lingered up to pregame warmups for the Packers. Perhaps having rested him with the short turnaround in mind, there will be no such breath-holding for Green Bay over the next 24 hours.

Jacobs' impending return is a boon to Green Bay's offense. Coming off a Pro Bowl campaign in his first season with the Packers, Jacobs has amassed 885 total yards and 11 touchdowns on 197 touches this year.

Along with Jordan Love, Jacobs has been the most consistent piece of the offense amid a season-ending injury to Tucker Kraft and the wide receiver room seeing its share of drop issues and injury problems; Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder) won't return and Matthew Golden (wrist) is questionable to play, while Dontayvion Wicks is good o go.

Jacobs will surely be counted on against a ferocious Detroit front that ranks 11th against the run as the Packers seek to sweep the Lions for the first time since 2020 and keep pressure on the Bears atop the NFC North.

Should Jacobs experience any lingering effects or should the Packers simply exercise caution coming off injury, he could be spelled more often than usual by Emanuel Wilson, who starred against the Vikings with a 125-yard, two-TD performance filling in for the RB1.

The Packers and Lions kick off a Thanksgiving Day tripleheader at 1 p.m. ET.
