NFL suspends Justin Tucker for first 10 games of 2025 season for violation of personal conduct policy

Free-agent kicker Justin Tucker has been suspended without pay for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 season due to violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

Tucker has been accused of improper behavior during massage sessions by 16 massage therapists from eight Baltimore-area spas. He was released May 5 by the Baltimore Ravens following 13 seasons with the club.

The suspension of Tucker, 35, will become effective on Aug. 26 -- the league's 53-man roster cutdown day -- and he will be eligible for reinstatement on Tuesday, Nov. 11, as noted in the league release. As also noted in the announcement of Tucker's suspension, he is eligible to serve out his suspension while he is a free agent. He's also permitted to sign with a team at any time and can attend training camp and participate in preseason games.

Tucker was under league investigation following the allegations, which were said to have taken place from his rookie season in 2012 through 2016. The allegations of improper conduct were initially reported by the Baltimore Banner on Jan. 30.

Tucker has denied all misconduct.

"We are disappointed with the NFL's decision," Tucker's agent Rob Roche said in a statement obtained by NFL Media. "Justin has always strived to carry himself in a way that would make his family and community proud. He stands by his previous statements. In order to put this difficult episode behind him and get back on the field as soon as possible, we have advised Justin to accept this resolution and close this matter. The people who know Justin best know his character and understand that while he remains fully committed to excellence as a football player, he is deeply dedicated to his most important lifetime roles as a father, husband, and friend."

An undrafted free agent out of Texas, Tucker is a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and five-time All-Pro. He is the most accurate kicker in league history with an 89.1 field goal percentage and holds the NFL record for the longest made field goal at 66 yards and won Super Bowl XLVII with Baltimore. In 2024, however, he had his worst season statistically, converting a career-low 73.3% of his field goals.

Prior to Tucker's release, Baltimore selected Arizona's Tyler Loop in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Tucker has had no reported visits with any NFL clubs since his release.
