Dennis Kelly is returning to the AFC South with a former rival.

The veteran tackle is signing with the Indianapolis Colts, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday.

Indianapolis will be Kelly's fourth team in his nine-season NFL career, which dates back to 2012 but includes a 2013 season in which he did not appear in a game. Kelly has spent the majority of his career with the Tennessee Titans, where he filled the role of swing tackle and spent more of his time as a Titan on the right side of the line.

Kelly has also played considerable snaps on the left side of the line, filling in for Taylor Lewan in the 2019 season when the Titans' starting left tackle was suspended for four games. Kelly appears set to compete for a similar role for the Colts, at least on paper. Indianapolis entered the offseason with a need at the position and used a third-round selection on Central Michigan tackle Bernhard Raimann, a former tight end who converted to tackle during the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season and might need some time to adjust to the pro game.

Kelly can provide the Colts with veteran experience and insurance as Raimann acclimates to playing left tackle at the NFL level.

Kelly is coming off a single season spent with the Green Bay Packers, where he played right tackle and appeared in 10 games (four starts). He compiled one of his better seasons as a professional, per Pro Football Focus, posting the best offensive grade of his career in 361 total snaps played in 2021.

Indianapolis will hope to get similar production out of the 32-year-old tackle, who brings a decade of NFL experience to a team that could use his production and wisdom as it hopes to turn Raimann into a long-term starter.

In other Colts news, Indianapolis announced that it has released tackle Shon Coleman and linebacker Malik Jefferson and waived tight ends Farrod Green and Eli Wolf.

• The Baltimore Ravens signed former Falcons running back Mike Davis to a one-year deal. Davis, 29, was released by the Falcons last week. In one season with Atlanta, Davis racked up 762 yards from scrimmage and four total TDs on 182 touches in 17 games played. The team also withdrew its minimum tender for running back Ty'Son Williams, who now becomes a free agent, Rapoport reported via the transaction wire.
• The Carolina Panthers agreed to terms with sixth-round guard Cade Mays on his four-year rookie deal. The team also announced it has agreed to terms with first-round pick Ikem Ekwonu. It's a four-year deal worth $27.56 million with a signing bonus of $17.22 million, Rapoport reported. Ekwonu was selected No. 6 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
• The Chicago Bears waived wide receivers Savon Scarver and Landon Lenoir, running back Master Teague, linebacker Jaylan Alexander and defensive back Amari Carter. Defensive end Ledarius Mack was transferred from waived/injured to the reserve/injured list.
• The Detroit Lions waived linebacker Tavante Beckett, outside linebacker Rashod Berry, center Parnell Motley and tight end Matt Sokol. They also waived tight end Jared Pinkley with an injury settlement.
• The Houston Texans signed free-agent pass rusher Mario Addison. Addison totaled seven sacks last season with the Bills.
• The Kansas City Chiefs re-signed center Austin Reiter, per the transaction wire. Reiter was released by the team on Friday. The team also re-signed wide receiver Gary Jennings, who was also released last week. K.C. signed guard Chris Glaser, as well. Kansas City waived quarterback Anthony Gordon, running back Brenden Knox, offensive tackle Gene Pryor and defensive tackle Darius Stills, the latter coming with an injury designation.
• The New York Giants waived linebacker Omari Cobb, tight end Jake Hausmann, tight end Rysen John and offensive lineman Wes Martin.
• The New York Jets waived wide receiver D.J. Montgomery and tight end Brandon Dillon.
• The Pittsburgh Steelers waived long snapper Rex Sunahara and linebacker Tegray Scales and waived/injured cornerback Isaiah Johnson. The team signed running backs Jaylen Warren and Mataeo Durant and offensive tackle Jordan Tucker.

Coaching news

• The Arizona Cardinals promoted Shawn Jefferson to associate head coach/wide receivers, Cam Turner to co-pass game coordinator/quarterbacks, Spencer Whipple to co-pass game coordinator, Kenny Bell to chief of staff/offensive assistant and Mike Bercovici to offensive assistant. Arizona also hired Matt Burke as defensive line coach.

• The Buffalo Bills are hiring Texans assistant director of player personnel Matt Barzigan as senior personnel executive, Rapoport reports.
• The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Tuesday they have completed a second-round general manager interview with the Tennessee Titans' Ryan Cowden.
