  • QB Matthew Stafford is dealing with an aggravated disc, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday. Stafford has been receiving epidurals to aid in dealing with the injury. The club has called Stafford week to week while being cautious with the starting QB, but the team has plans for him to be ready Week 1, Rapoport added.

  • FB Alec Ingold remains in concussion protocol, coach Mike McDaniel said.
  • TE Darren Waller is a week away from practicing, McDaniel said. Waller came out of retirement to join Miami on July 1. The TE is currently on the PUP list.
  • OL Andrew Meyer will be out multiple weeks, per McDaniel.

  • Head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Wednesday that healthy players should expect to play in Friday's preseason opener versus the Commanders.
