- LB Mathieu Betts, who most recently played with the BC Lions in the CFL and recorded 18 sacks in 18 games played last year, signed with Detroit, the team announced.

- G Nick Allegretti suffered a fully torn UCL in the second quarter of Super Bowl LVIII, but was able to play through it, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.

- The Chargers are hiring Nick Hardwick as their assistant offensive line coach, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported. Hardwick previously played 11 seasons with the Bolts.

- WR Tay Martin was one of nine players to sign futures contracts.
INJURIES
- DL Arik Armstead played through a right meniscus injury during the postseason that he said will require offseason surgery, he told reporters. His hope is to return healthy sometime around training camp.
- DL Javon Hargrave finished the season playing with a torn thumb ligament, general manager John Lynch said Tuesday.

- The team officially announced multiple coaching hires on Monday. New assistant coaches are: defensive coordinator Aden Durde, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, special teams coordinator Jay Harbaugh, assistant head coach Leslie Frazier, defensive passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach Karl Scott, offensive line coach Scott Huff and inside linebackers coach Kirk Olivadotti.

- The team announced its 2024 coaching staff on Monday. New assistant offensive coaches are: offensive line coach Bill Callahan, wide receivers coaches Tyke Tolbert, running backs coach Randy Jordan, quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree, assistant wide receivers coach Payton McCollum. New assistant defensive coaches are: linebackers coach Frank Bush, secondary coach Steve Jackson, defensive line coach Tracy Rocker and outside linebackers coach Ben Bloom.
The staff also includes: Chris Harris, passing game coordinator/cornerbacks; Justin Outten, tight ends; Anthony Levine Sr., assistant special teams; Clinton McMillan, assistant defensive line/pass rush specialist; Lori Locust, defensive quality control; Kylan Butler, offensive Assistant; Matt Jones, offensive assistant; Luke Stocker, offensive assistant and from the strength and conditioning staff Brian Bell, Tyler Rouse and Haley Roberts. The team previously announced the additions of Dennard Wilson as defensive Coordinator and Nick Holz as offensive coordinator.
