  • The team formally announced its 2024 coaching staff additions: John Griffin director of player performance, Josh Nelson director of performance science, Paul Constantine associate director of strength and conditioning, Erik Jernstrom assistant director of strength and conditioning, Jacquies Smith outside linebackers coach, D.J. Williams offensive assistant/assistant quarterbacks coach and Rob Dadona manager of coaching operations.

  • Steve Shimko, formerly the Boston College offensive coordinator, has been hired as an offensive assistant, per the team.

SIGNINGS

  • K Michael Badgley is signing a one-year deal with the Lions, according to his agent, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The team later announced the signing.

  • The team formally announced its 2024 coaching staff additions: defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen, defensive backs coach Kris Richard, inside linebackers coach Matt House, defensive assistant/cornerbacks coach Cory Robinson, defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett, asst. secondary coach/defensive analyst Mike Gray, asst. outside linebackers coach Mario Jeberaeel, running backs coach Jerry Mack, asst. offensive line coach Greg Austin, and offensive quality control coach Jamel Mutunga.

  • The team announced additions to its sports performance staff: executive director of player performance Ben Herbert, head strength and conditioning coach Jonathan Brooks, head strength and conditioning coach Devin Woodhouse, director of performance analytics Ben Rabe and performance analyst Lincoln Dewolf.

  • C Erik McCoy's salary and roster bonus has been converted to free up $7.18 million in 2024 salary cap space, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.

INJURIES

  • CB Charvarius Ward announced Thursday he had successful surgery for an unspecified injury. The procedure took place at the Vincera Institute, which deals with core injuries.

  • The Seahawks have announced 15 more additions to the coaching staff: Mack Brown (tight ends), Josh Bynes (defensive assistant/linebackers), Rob Caprice (defensive intern), Zak Hill (offensive assistant/quality control), Justin Hinds (defensive line), Jeff Howard (safeties), Frisman Jackson (wide receivers), Charles London (quarterbacks), Brendan Nugent (assistant offensive line), Quinshon Odom (offensive assistant/quality control-offensive line), Chris Partridge (outside linebackers), Jake Peetz (offensive passing game coordinator), Nick Perry (defensive quality control), Kennedy Polamalu (running backs) and Tyson Prince (assistant wide receivers).
