Starting Justin Jefferson. But that's too obvious, so you won't see such simple analysis here. Instead, we're exploring more debatable situations. Start 'Em
It was a disappointing Week 3 for many Texans -- and especially Fairbairn. But that's not really his fault. The Texans got blown out by the Vikings, and C.J. Stroud finished the game on the sideline. Don't forget that Fairbairn scored 17 fantasy points in Week 1 and 19 in Week 2. He remains a must-start fantasy option.
The Steelers' offense has been moving the ball better each week. It's led to Boswell establishing a safe floor of eight fantasy points. And in Week 1, he exploded for 24 fantasy points, so there is some upside here. In a favorable matchup against the Colts, he is in play again in fantasy.
Santos only had six fantasy points last week, but don’t overlook him hitting double digits in the two games before that. He has hit a 50-yarder in every game this season, with four total on the year. (He also just missed one last week, which would have given him double digits yet again.) In a great matchup against the Rams, the Bears should be able to move the ball and put Santos in a position to kick.
Do not let last week's one-point performance make you overlook the fact that McLaughlin put up double digits in each of the first two weeks. He's tied to a good offense that should be able to put him in a position for kicks. In what could be an offensive battle -- a playoff rematch from this past January's Wild Card Weekend -- I would take the shot on McLaughlin.
Don’t look now, but Narveson has reached double figures in all three of his games this season. He has been a reliable kicker, and the Packers have done a good job of putting him in a position to score. The Vikings' defense has held teams in check, so we could see a lot of field goal attempts. I like him a lot more if Jordan Love suits up, but he's in play regardless.
Sit 'Em
Dicker scored 12 fantasy points in Week 1 and then 12 in his last two games combined. Last week, he was held to just four fantasy points. With Justin Herbert banged up, it adds volatility to Dicker's projection -- especially against the Chiefs, who have both a good defense and an offense that forces teams to play more aggressively. You can get away from Dicker this week.
The artist formerly known as "Greg The Leg" has struggled to get going in fantasy. Zuerlein has just 13 fantasy points through three weeks. His high mark on the season is six fantasy points. The Broncos' defense has played well and could make life tough on the Jets' offense. It's not worth the risk here.
Sanders has been unable to produce over the last couple of weeks, scoring just seven fantasy points total over that span. With Tua Tagovailoa on IR, the Dolphins' offense struggles to consistently move the ball. And now backup QB Skylar Thompson is banged up. Just stay away here.
The Browns' offense has really struggled this season. Cleveland has yet to reach 20 points in a game, which has led to Hopkins topping seven fantasy points just once in three outings. Last week, he scored just one fantasy point. The upside is not worth the risk of that low floor -- especially not in what could be a defensive battle this week.
After missing Week 1, it's been a disappointing fantasy start for Gay. He has scored just seven total fantasy points over his first two games of the season. Now the Colts face a tough Steelers defense. Turnovers have taken a lot of chances away from Gay, and that could once again be an issue in this one. I would look elsewhere.
