Kendrick Lamar to perform at Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans

Grammy Award-winning artist Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025 on FOX.

Lamar announced the news on Sunday morning in a post on social media.

"Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I'll be there to remind the world why," Lamar said in a statement. "They got the right one."

"Few artists have impacted music and culture as profoundly as Kendrick Lamar," NFL head of music Seth Dudowsky added. "Time and time again, Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop.

"We're excited to collaborate with Kendrick, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to deliver another unforgettable Halftime Show."

Lamar has won 17 Grammys thus far in his career and became the first non-classical, non-jazz musician to win a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album DAMN.

In 2024, Lamar was featured on Future and Metro Boomin's "Like That," which spent three weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Lamar's "Not Like Us" also spent two weeks this summer at No. 1.

This will mark the second time Lamar has performed at halftime of a Super Bowl after he was featured along with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Mary J. Blige for the halftime show at Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium in 2022.
