The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with wide receiver Jakobi Meyers on a three-year, $60 million extension that includes $40 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Thursday.
Jacksonville has since announced the extension.
The Jaguars traded for Meyers just prior to the deadline, on Nov. 4. In six games (four starts) with Jacksonville, Meyers has caught 27 passes for 355 yards (13.1-yard average) and three touchdowns and rushed four times for 12 yards. He has helped offset the loss of first-round pick Travis Hunter, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in November. The Jaguars have gone 5-1 with Meyers in the lineup and lead the AFC South with a 10-4 record.
Meyers, 29, was due to become a free agent in the spring.
In his seven-year career, Meyers has caught 453 passes for 5,299 yards (11.7 average) and 23 TDs in 104 games (80 starts) with the Patriots, Raiders and Jaguars.
