The Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed changes on offense, but the team made sure to emphasize quarterback isn't one of them.
The Jags announced on Twitter Wednesday morning that rookie Luke Bowanko will start at center and Sam Young will start at right tackle this week against the Indianapolis Colts.
Somewhat oddly, the team felt obligated to point out it won't be swapping out starting quarterback Chad Henne.
The call for rookie Blake Bortles has been rising, so perhaps the team was just heading off the approximate bajillion "What about Bortles?" questions it would have received after announcing the offensive line changes.
However, it's odd for a team to announce a change hasn't happened.
Gus Bradley and the team's brass have insisted from the start that Henne would get the starts at the beginning of the season. The coach reiterated that sentiment Monday, saying Henne was the starter "right now."
That right now will include Week 3.
As for the offensive line, it has been woeful through two weeks.
The team cut Cameron Bradfield on Wednesday, which was believed to indicate injured starter Austin Pasztor -- expected to practice this week -- was on the mend. However, Young, a five-year vet with four career starts, will get the nod.
The 6-foot-6 rookie center, Bowanko, takes over for an ineffectual Jacques McClendon -- he ranked dead last in Pro Football Focus' ranking of 32 NFL centers.
The Jags hope the changes to the line will help solidify one of the most porous groups in the NFL. If that happens maybe then the team will reconsider tossing their rookie signal-caller under center.
