Injury roundup: Jets' Bowles doubts Revis will play

There is now a very real chance Darrelle Revis won't be on the field when the Jets meet Odell Beckham and the Giants on Sunday.

Revis did not practice on Thursday, still feeling the effects of a concussion suffered in Week 11's loss to the Texans. Jets coach Todd Bowles told the media after practice that he doesn't think Revis will be good to go.

"I don't think (Revis will play)" Bowles said. "He didn't do anything today, so it's more than likely he won't play."

Revis hasn't practiced since suffering the head injury on a tackle attempt, and has not attended team meetings this week.

It's not a great situation for the Jets, who hoped Revis could neutralize Beckham in what was to be one of the most hyped one-on-one showdowns of the season. To make matters worse, Marcus Williams -- Revis' backup -- missed his second practice this week with an MCL sprain suffered Sunday.

If Revis and Williams are both out, Antonio Cromartie could be tasked with covering Beckham. This has the potential to be a considerable mismatch. Slot corner Buster Skrine could also draw the assignment, though it is fair to assume Beckham will see plenty of double coverage in a pivotal game for both New York teams.
