Fantasy injury report: Week 15

The following is a list of injured players for Week 15 (Dec. 13-17) and all the fantasy implications:

Dec. 15

Cincinnati Bengals
Out: DE Frostee Rucker, WR Marcus Maxwell, CB David Jones, C Dan Santucci, TE Nate Lawrie, OT Willie Anderson, LB Rashad Jeanty.

Fantasy take: No significant inactives.

San Francisco 49ers
Inactives: QB Trent Dilfer, CB Marcus Hudson, CB Shawntae Spencer, WR LeRon McCoy, T Patrick Estes, DL Atiyyah Ellison, WR Bryan Gilmore, DE Ray McDonald .

Fantasy take: QB Shaun Hill will start with Dilfer out of action. The Niners added QB Chris Weinke to be second on the depth chart. RB Frank Gore and WR Arnaz Battle are both active and will start against Cincinnati.

Dec. 16-17

Arizona Cardinals
Out: DE Ross Kolodziej (quadriceps); Questionable: WR Anquan Boldin (toe), WR Larry Fitzgerald (groin); Probable: LB Monty Beisel (illness), LB Karlos Dansby (ribs), S Aaron Francisco (calf), QB Kurt Warner (left elbow).

Fantasy take: Warner was active in Friday's practice and is a solid starter for fantasy footballers. Boldin and Fitzgerald were both limited and will be game-time decisions. However, it seems Fitzgerald has a better chance to start in New Orleans.

Atlanta Falcons
Questionable: G Tyson Clabo (ankle), WR Roddy White (knee); Probable: CB Antoine Harris (knee) .

Fantasy take: White was limited in Friday's practice, so be sure to keep tabs on his status all week. WRs Laurent Robinson and Michael Jenkins would see more work if White it out. TE Alge Crumpler (team decision) was removed from the injury report and should be active in Week 15.

Baltimore Ravens
Out: WR Demetrius Williams (ankle); Doubtful: CB Samari Rolle (shoulder), S Gerome Sapp (thigh); Questionable: DT Justin Bannan (knee), TE Todd Heap (thigh), LB Ray Lewis (back), DT Haloti Ngata (knee), LB Terrell Suggs (illness), TE Daniel Wilcox (thigh, foot); Probable: C Mike Flynn (foot), DT Kelly Gregg (thigh), RB Willis McGahee (foot), T Jonathan Ogden (thigh), S Ed Reed (hip), T Adam Terry (ankle).

Fantasy take: Heap has an outside chance to return this week, but he was limited in Friday's practice. With CB Chris McAlister out for the season and Rolle listed as doubtful and at less than 100 percent, Baltimore's defensive backfield could be vulnerable in Miami. McGahee was added to the injury report but should be fine and remains a solid option against a vulnerable Miami run defense. IDP leaguers need to watch the status of Lewis, who is listed as questionable.

Buffalo Bills
Out: DE Bryan Copeland (knee), LB Coy Wire (neck), S George Wilson (ribs); Questionable: DE Chris Kelsay (ankle).

Fantasy take: The Bills have some injuries on defense, but this unit shouldn't be used on the fantasy football postseason.

Carolina Panthers
Doubtful: WR Keary Colbert (knee); Probable: G Jeremy Bridges (tooth), WR Dwayne Jarrett (knee), QB Vinny Testaverde (Achilles).

Fantasy take: Testaverde is listed as probable, but he missed Friday's practice and is more of a game-time decision. Rookie QB Matt Moore will have a chance to start against Seattle if Testaverde is unavailable.

Chicago Bears
Doubtful: QB Rex Grossman (knee); Questionable: DT Tommie Harris (knee), DT Darwin Walker (elbow), CB Nathan Vasher (groin).

Fantasy take: QB Kyle Orton will start on Monday night with Grossman out of action. The possible absence of Vasher would help the value of Minnesota's wide receivers.

Cleveland Browns
Doubtful: LB Antwan Peek (ankle); Questionable: WR Joe Jurevicius (knee); Probable: DE Orpheus Roye (knee), T Kevin Shaffer (knee), DE Robaire Smith (back), LB Willie McGinest (hip).

Fantasy take: Jurevicius was limited in Friday's practice, so keep tabs on his status throughout the weekend.

Dallas Cowboys
Out: WR Terry Glenn (knee); Questionable: CB Terence Newman (knee, toe); Probable: T Marc Colombo (ankle), WR Patrick Crayton (ankle).

Fantasy take: Glenn has done some light work all week but he is still out. Crayton put in full work and will start against Philadelphia. The possible absence of Newman would add to the value of Philadelphia's wide receivers.

Detroit Lions
Out: WR Roy Williams (knee), WR Troy Walters (concussion); Probable: S Kenoy Kennedy (knee), DT Shaun Rogers (knee), TE Casey Fitzsimmons (shin).

Fantasy take: WR Shaun McDonald will continue to start in the absence of Williams and is a viable No. 3 fantasy wideout in most formats.

Green Bay Packers
Doubtful: CB Jarrett Bush (calf), QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring), LB Tracy White (ankle); Questionable: TE Bubba Franks (knee), DE Aaron Kampman (back); Probable: T Chad Clifton (shoulder), G Junius Coston (ankle), CB Al Harris (heel), CB Charles Woodson (toe), T Mark Tauscher (ankle).

Fantasy take: QB Craig Nall will be second on the depth chart with Rodgers listed as doubtful. WR Koren Robinson (knee) was removed from the injury report and will be active in Week 15. The Packers have some injuries on defense, but this unit is still a solid option for fantasy footballers in Week 15.

Indianapolis Colts
Out: WR Marvin Harrison (knee), DT Raheem Brock (rib), T Ryan Diem (knee); Questionable: DB Antoine Bethea (knee), DE Robert Mathis (knee), G Jake Scott (foot), LB Clint Session (ankle), RB Kenton Keith (hand).

Fantasy take: Harrison missed Friday's practice and is out for Week 15, so look for rookie WR Anthony Gonzalez to start once again. Keith returned to full work and remains second on the depth chart behind RB Joseph Addai. DB Bob Sanders (team decision) was removed from the injury report and will start in Oakland. The loss of Diem hurts the Colts offensive line.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Out: DE Reggie Hayward (groin), LB Mike Peterson (hand); Questionable: S Reggie Nelson (hamstring), DT Jeremy Mincey (hamstring); Probable: CB Rashean Mathis (team decision), DE Paul Spicer (shoulder), G Vince Manuwai (foot).

Fantasy take: RB Fred Taylor (team decision) was removed from the injury report and will start in Week 15. The Jaguars have some injuries on defense, but this unit is still a viable option for fantasy footballers in Week 15.

Kansas City Chiefs
Out: CB Tyron Brackenridge (knee), T Kyle Turley (ankle), RB Larry Johnson (foot); Doubtful: DT Alfonso Boone (headache); Questionable: S Greg Wesley (knee); Probable: TE Tony Gonzalez (ankle), LB Donnie Edwards (hamstring), RB Kolby Smith (knee).

Fantasy take: Smith returned to full work late in the week and is a borderline No. 2 back or flex starter in most formats. Gonzalez was also a full participant in Friday's practice and will start in Week 15. Gonzalez is listed as probable and is a must-start tight end.

Miami Dolphins
Out: LB Channing Crowder (foot); Questionable: RB Jesse Chatman (ankle), RB Patrick Cobbs (hip), DE Matt Roth (groin); Probable: WR Marty Booker (knee), T Vernon Carey (back), DT Vonnie Holliday (ankle), CB Michael Lehan (groin), LB Joey Porter (shoulder).

Fantasy take: Chatman did some limited work in Friday's practice and vows to return in Week 15, so RB Samkon Gado is not a lock to start against Baltimore. Booker and WR Ted Ginn Jr. could be decent low-end sleepers with Baltimore's defensive backfield in shambles due to injuries.

Minnesota Vikings
Doubtful: S Tank Williams (knee); Questionable: S Mike Doss (hamstring), CB Charles Gordon (quadriceps), G Artis Hicks (lower back), WR Bobby Wade (knee).

Fantasy take: The Vikings have some injuries on defense, but this unit is still a solid option for fantasy footballers in Week 15.

New England Patriots
Out: G Billy Yates (foot); Questionable: G Stephen Neal (shoulder), S James Sanders (knee), TE Benjamin Watson (ankle), LB Mike Vrabel (thigh); Probable: QB Tom Brady (right shoulder).

Fantasy take: Watson was limited in Friday's practice, so keep tabs on his status the rest of the week. Brady put in a full practice and will start in Week 15.

New Orleans Saints
Out: RB Reggie Bush (knee), TE Eric Johnson (groin), DT Brian Young (illness); Questionable: S Josh Bullocks (quadriceps).

Fantasy take: RB Aaron Stecker is expected to start in the absence of Bush, who could miss the remainder of the season. TE Billy Miller will start with Johnson listed as out.

New York Giants
Out: S James Butler (hamstring); Doubtful: S Gibril Wilson (knee); Questionable: WR Plaxico Burress (ankle), TE Jeremy Shockey (stomach); Probable: S Craig Dahl (ankle), CB Aaron Ross (hamstring).

Fantasy take: Burress missed Friday's practice but is expected to start in Week 15. Shockey was limited and will be a gametime decision, so keep tabs on his status. The loss of Butler and potential absence of Wilson hurts the Giants defensive backfield.

New York Jets
Questionable: TE Chris Baker (back), WR Laveranues Coles (ankle), WR Jerricho Cotchery (finger), TE James Dearth (foot), WR Justin McCareins (thigh), DT Dewayne Robertson (knee); Probable: QB Kellen Clemens (thigh), TE Joe Kowalewski (shoulder), WR Brad Smith (back).

Fantasy take: Cotchery and Coles were both limited in Friday's practice, but each is expected to start in Week 15. Clemens put in a full week of practice and will start in New England.

Oakland Raiders
Out: S Jarrod Cooper (knee); Doubtful: QB Daunte Culpepper (quadriceps), C Jake Grove (knee); Probable: QB Josh McCown (left finger), WR Tim Dwight (hamstring).

Fantasy take: McCown put in full work in Friday's practice and should start in Week 15 with Culpepper still at less than 100 percent. C Jeremy Newberry (team decision), WR Jerry Porter (team decision), DT Warren Sapp (team decision) and T Barry Sims (team decision) all returned to practice and should be active against Indianapolis.

Philadelphia Eagles
Out: RB Correll Buckhalter (concussion), TE L.J. Smith (knee, rib); Questionable: S Brian Dawkins (back), T Jon Runyan (knee); Probable: RB Brian Westbrook (knee), DT Mike Patterson (ankle), WR Reggie Brown (shin).

Fantasy take: Westbrook put in a full practice on Friday and will start in Week 15. RB Tony Hunt will be second on the depth chart with Buckhalter out of action. Brown's ailment is not considered serious, so he should start for the Eagles. Smith missed practice again and has been ruled out.

Pittsburgh Steelers
Questionable: LB Andre Frazier (groin), QB Ben Roethlisberger (right shoulder); Probable: CB Bryant McFadden (ankle).

Fantasy take: WR Hines Ward (team decision) was taken off the injury report. Roethlisberger is questionable and could be a gametime decision to face Jacksonville, so keep tabs on his status. He did see work in Friday's practice, however, so chances are he'll be active.

San Diego Chargers
Out: RB Lorenzo Neal (fibula), LB Shawne Merriman (knee); Doubtful: DE Luis Castillo (ankle); Questionable: TE Antonio Gates (back), DT Jamal Williams (ankle), QB Philip Rivers (knee); Probable: G Mike Goff (foot), WR Craig Davis (Achilles).

Fantasy take: Rivers was limited in Friday's practice, so keep tabs on his status throughout the week. QB Billy Volek would start if Rivers is out. Gates was also limited but should return in time to start against Detroit.

Seattle Seahawks
Out: WR D.J. Hackett (ankle), CB Josh Wilson (quadriceps); Did not practice: S Brian Russell (abdomen); Probable: RB Shaun Alexander (wrist), T Tom Ashworth (illness), DT Rocky Bernard (groin), S Mike Green (knee), T Floyd Womack (hamstring).

Fantasy take: WRs Bobby Engram and Nate Burleson will see more work with Hackett out of action. Alexander was active in Friday's practice and will start in Week 15.

St. Louis Rams
Out: WR Brandon Williams (ankle); Doubtful: T Rob Petitti (concussion); Questionable: S Hanik Milligan (hamstring); Probable: CB Eric Bassey (knee), QB Marc Bulger (concussion), QB Gus Frerotte (right shoulder), RB Brian Leonard (knee).

Fantasy take: Bulger was active in Friday's practice and will start in Week 15. He's a viable fantasy option in leagues with 12-plus teams. Frerotte also returned to full work and is second on the depth chart.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Questionable: RB B.J. Askew (ankle), LB Ryan Nece (groin), RB Michael Pittman (ankle), DE Greg Spires (calf); Probable: QB Jeff Garcia (back), WR Ike Hilliard (back).

Fantasy take: Garcia was active in Friday's practice and should start in Week 15. He's a nice sleeper against Atlanta. WR Joey Galloway (team decision) was removed from the injury report and will start as well.

Tennessee Titans
Out: WR Brandon Jones (groin, LB Gilbert Gardner (calf); Questionable DT Albert Haynesworth (hamstring), G Eugene Amano (knee), CB Eric King (hamstring); Probable: G Benji Olson (knee), RB Chris Barclay (toe), LB David Thornton (knee), G Jacob Bell (neck), T Michael Roos (ankle), RB LenDale White (knee).

Fantasy take: Haynesworth missed Friday's practice and is a question mark for Week 15. His absence would improve the value of Kansas City RB Kolby Smith. White was added the injury report and is listed as probable, so he still seems safe to start.

Washington Redskins
Out: QB Jason Campbell (knee), OL Randy Thomas (elbow), CB John Eubanks (toe); Probable: DE Phillip Daniels (knee), C Mike Pucillo (back), WR James Thrash (ankle).

Fantasy take: QB Todd Collins will start in the absence of Campbell, who will miss Week 15. He has some value in larger two-quarterback formats against the New York Giants.
