Dolphins QB Moore's status unclear with possible concussion

Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore is being evaluated for a possible concussion, leaving his status for this week uncertain.

Moore left Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles midway through the second half. He was hit from behind while throwing an incomplete pass and was slow to get up before walking off the field.

Moore showed symptoms of a concussion on the sideline, coach Tony Sparano said Monday.

The Palm Beach Post reported late Sunday that Moore suffered a potential low-grade concussion, however, a source said he was bothered more by neck spasms than his head after the game.

Sparano declined to update the status of Pro Bowl tackle Jake Long, who left the game during the first quarter with a lower back injury.

If Moore can't play Sunday at Buffalo, backup quarterback J.P. Losman would start against his former teammates. Losman came off the bench against the Eagles, threw his first NFL completion since 2008 and finished 6 of 10 passing for 60 yards but was sacked five times.
