The Indianapolis Colts will get two of their key cogs back to face the New York Giants on Monday night.
Coach Chuck Pagano told reporters Saturday that both Reggie Wayne and Vontae Davis will play this week, per the team's official website.
Wayne missed last week with an elbow injury, while Davis missed most of the Week 8 loss with a knee injury. Both are listed as probable for Sunday.
"(Wayne) looked good. ... (He) caught the ball extremely well," Pagano said.
The return of the veteran receiver will push rookie Donte Moncriefback down the depth chart after the youngster busted out last week.
More important is Davis' return. The physical corner's play has been key for the Colts' defense this season. With Davis and Greg Toler able to lock down receivers in man coverage, Indy is able to unleash multiple blitz packages to supplement a pass rushing unit sans a dominant tandem.
However, Pagano added that the defense will again be without defensive lineman Arthur Jones, who re-injured his ankle last week. LaRon Landry (coming off suspension), Erik Walden and Josh McNary also won't play.
On the Giants' side, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) did not practice on Saturday, but is probable to play. Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (back/hamstring) was a limited participant and is questionable for Monday.
New York will be without defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins, who was ruled out with a calf injury.
